Climate Change Open Forum

Come and meet our panel of influential experts There will be short presentations followed by an open forum and a chance to chat with the speakers over a glass of wine.

We are extremely fortunate to have two of the world’s leading climate scientists as panel members at this event. This is an opportunity to come armed with your questions about climate science and learn why we need to conserve energy and live more sustainably.

Admission is free but space is limited so arrive in good time to be sure of a seat.

Brian Hoskins

Sir Brian Hoskins
Professor Sir Brian Hoskins is a Royal Society Research Professor and member of the new Committee on Climate Change. He shares his time between the Grantham Institute for Climate Change at Imperial College and Reading University, where he is Professor of Meteorology and was a head of department for six years. Sir Brian is recognised as one of the world's leading weather and climate scientists.

Peter McManners

Professor Nigel Arnell
Nigel is the Director of the Walker Institute and a Professor of Climate within the Department of Meteorology. He is an expert on climate change and its impacts, has been a lead author in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) assessment process and contributed to the Stern Review of the Economics of Climate Change. His own research focuses on the impacts of climate change.
